[Tutorial] How To Make A Hidden Chatbox
Monday, August 4, 2014 | 7:53 AM | 1 comments

Hi there yall! Today I'm going to post another tutorial how to make a hidden chatbox like mine! It's my new chatbox style tbh and I wasn't even planning on making the tutorial of how I did it if Sharon didn't ask me to!

So now let's begin this tutorial.

Copy and paste the code below in your HTML code area :

<!-- HIDDEN CHATBOX CODE START --!>
<style>
#cbox {
position:fixed;
top:50px;
z-index:+1300;
}
* html #cbox {position:relative;}
.cboxtab {
height:110px;
width:80px;

margin-left:-50px;
float:left;
cursor:pointer;
background:url('CBOX TRIGGER URL') no-repeat;
}
.cboxcontent {
float:left;
border:3px solid #000000;
background:#ffffff;
border-radius: 20px;

padding:8px;

}
</style>

<script type="text/javascript">
function showHidecbox(){
var cbox = document.getElementById("cbox");
var w = cbox.offsetWidth;
cbox.opened ? movecbox(0, 30-w) : movecbox(25-w, 0);
cbox.opened = !cbox.opened;
}
function movecbox(x0, xf){
var cbox = document.getElementById("cbox");
var dx = Math.abs(x0-xf) > 10 ? 5 : 1;
var dir = xf>x0 ? 1 : -1;
var x = x0 + dx * dir;
cbox.style.right = x.toString() + "px";
if(x0!=xf){setTimeout("movecbox("+x+", "+xf+")", 8);}
}
</script>

<div id="cbox">
<div class="cboxtab" onclick="showHidecbox()">
</div>
<div class="cboxcontent">

CHATBOX CODE

</div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var cbox = document.getElementById("cbox");
cbox.style.right = (30-cbox.offsetWidth).toString() + "px";
</script>
<!-- HIDDEN CHATBOX CODE END --!>

Replace :
  • CBOX TRIGGER URL with the button URL which is used for showing your Cbox
  • CHATBOX CODE with your Cbox code
  • CODES IN PINK are the codes that can be customized by yourself as you want. It all depends on the look you want and your blog fits better.
Now save it and enjoy your new look! Hidden stuffs are very good to put on your blog cuz it makes your blog more interesting

If anyone gets trouble when following my tutorial, please comment on this post asap. I will help you to fix it.

  designing
  home
  kitkat

Accompanied by a cup of coffee in the late night, alone, here I'm feeling satisfied with my new look! Just some little changes ::
New sidebar  ALOHA (Giving short welcome messages) and new online visitor counter from FC2. First time trying FC2 counters~ it has large choices of designs!
ABOUT  Now I put my selfie icon there kkkk.. New visitor counters as well. I also put 'Rate My Blog' feature and new Follow button!
FONTS  Noticing my sidebar fonts is now different and tinier? Yay! Currently addicted to pixel fonts.. hehe
BG CHOOSER  Now choose your favorite background for my blog, just click on your favorite one in the ALOHA sidebar.
CBOX  I've finally found the perfect location for my Cbox! Brand new look! It's now located on the right side of the blog, just click on the bunny! Tadaaa...it appears! My Cbox has new look too now! Love it?
NO MORE  Back to top icon on the right bottom corner, Aimee and the clock. I don't think these are necessary. Why must I put a clock while my visitors can simply see what time it is from their device, lol.
MISC  Check out my CLIQUES page! It now has new feature 'RESOURCES' where I put some of my favorite sources for web graphics!

[Tutorial] How to Change Color of Text Selection
Wednesday, July 17, 2013 | 4:38 AM | 0 comments

Wassup people
I'm gonna give a short tutorial on how to change color of a text when selected.

This is the basic CSS code for text selection :
::-moz-selection {
background-color: #BGCOLOR;
color: #TEXTCOLOR;
}
::selection {
background-color: #BGCOLOR;
color: #TEXTCOLOR;
}

BGCOLOR is the color of the background when your text is selected. Image can't be used.
TEXTCOLOR is the color of the text when selected.

Copy the code to your CSS/HTML area above </style>

You can also make various style of the text, such as adding drop-shadow effect.

Using different selection colors for different classes is possible as well!
Simply add the class id in the beginning of the code, for example :

.title::-moz-selection {
background-color: #BGCOLOR;
color: #TEXTCOLOR;
}
.title::selection {
background-color: #BGCOLOR;
color: #TEXTCOLOR;
}

class id can be replaced with anything based on your CSS code rules.

There are some samples I made for yall + the codes!

[Tutorial] How To Use Custom Fonts On Your Website
| 2:35 AM | 5 comments

안녕하세요!

Today I'm going to give a tutorial requested by Miki !  It's about how to use custom fonts on your weblog. Some people might've been curious about this, even me, lol. Tbvh this tutorial is made based on my own pure experience in coding and such.. I haven't found any web giving this tutorial clearly and most of them don't work for me, ...or it's just me who's too dumb

*anyway i'm sorry for my poor explanation in english*

It works really well so far for me and I hope it works well on yours too!

 THIS TUTORIAL IS BASED ON MY TRIAL&ERROR EXPERIENCE SO SOME STEPS MIGHT SOUND UNFAMILIAR TO SOME OF YOU

Let's begin by choosing your favorite fonts, for example from Dafont.com.

I choose "Pinky Promise" font for this tutorial. Click Download.

After downloading your font, it is usually saved as .zip file.

Unzip your .zip file. It can also be done by right-clicking the file → extract here.
Another file will appear as .ttf

additional information:
 Internet Explorer only supports EOT
 Mozilla supports OTF and TTF
 Safari and Opera support OTF, TTF and SVG
 Chrome supports TTF and SVG

 Now we're going to get the direct download link of the font we've downloaded. (I purely improvised this part ) I recommend you to use Tumblr to upload our .ttf file.

    Choose your .ttf file you've downloaded → Upload File

    After uploading your .ttf file, copy the file URL.

     Now how to use the font?
      Copy this code to your CSS/HTML area above
    @font-face{font-family:YOUR FONT NAME;src:url('YOUR FONT DIRECT DOWNLOAD URL')}
      Replace YOUR FONT NAME with your font's name and YOUR FONT DIRECT DOWNLOAD URL with the file URL.
      Click Save and done!

      This is sample result of the text using PINKY PROMISE font ^_^

      Please comment on this post if you get trouble on the related topic.

      GOODLUCK
